My name is Heather, and I founded Birdsong Science Solutions to disrupt a frustrating reality: massive corporations routinely slap a massive upcharge on basic educational materials and standard environmental testing—charging premium prices for things that cost them pennies on the dollar. A small-town girl at heart, my mission is to bypass that corporate markup and bring affordable, institutional-grade science straight to everyday families, teachers, and my local community.
On the educational side, my kits are designed to be entirely "plug-and-play," delivering crystal-clear instructions alongside every specialized tool, sterile pouch, and active culture needed for hands-on learning. When you open a Birdsong Science Solutions kit, you have absolutely everything required to succeed right out of the box—the only thing you might ever have to supply is standard tap water.
But my mission doesn't stop in the classroom. Recognizing that local property owners face equally steep hurdles trying to get reliable data on their surroundings, I plan to expand Birdsong Science Solutions to provide accessible, low-cost home and environmental testing services. From home mold and moisture testing to soil quality and more, I want to ensure my neighbors have accurate, trustworthy data without the corporate price tag.
I back this dual mission with a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Chemistry minor) from Eastern Washington University and 8 years of deep laboratory experience, scaling all the way up to my professional role as a Technical Lab Director. Whether I am handling strict sterile prep for a biology kit or analyzing an environmental sample, I bring reliable, fail-proof laboratory standards directly to your classroom door and your home.
